The day was spent many making first lines with the help of Abe.  Tomorrow work will continue on the form until July 30 when it will be installed.

Abe helped with work on the form, which helped quicken the process.

In trying to make the form more complex with its shape and interaction, it becomes more complicated to complete.

Another section of line was added today.  It is taking shape and much more line to be added.

The next eleven lines began to be added.  Once the form is complete, it will be wrapped with white vinyl tape, commonly used for marking trees.  Once the first section of twelve lines was complete, it was wrapped so that a better understanding of the form could be seen once the piece is installed.

The form at then end of the day.

Sculpting began today…

The work space before the form began.

The empty space before I began sculpting the first lengths of line.  As for process, the first lines are formed.  Once sculpted, eleven other lines are attached to the rings with the first, to create the linear form.

The first lengths of line sculpted.

The first lines sculpted.  It is difficult to fully imagine how the form will become complete for the number of lines give it more density and gravity will take its toll.

The day started with a continuation of ring making.  Rings were then welded to lengths of the first line, which will then be sculpted into the form.

Work began… The day was spent making wire reels, a ring roller, and solving other problems.  Late in the afternoon, I began making the rings.  The start is always slow and I am only making pieces for the construction of actual piece.  I look forward to starting to create the form.
